O Death

two cousins

Of your name I have heard so much ill
That to see your face fears to become my will
But how I so cherish your cousin;
She lightens my burden
Come daylight, dusk or darkness
Her acquaintance must come of sudden
She’s relief to me, though threat to many
For many have met you through her gate
I have not already
Perhaps it’s just belief
But you can’t so differ from your relation
If she brings me relief,
You shall bring me redemption
